Dear Parents/Caregivers
Tena Koutou Katoa
Greeting to you all
We would like to honour Mrs. Jenson for being selected to achieve a regional award - National Excellence in Teaching and Leadership Award (2nd award since 2009). She will be presented with this award at the Grand Hall, Parliament Buildings in Wellington on 20 May by the Minister of Education, Anne Tolley. Mrs. Jenson is an amazing teacher and we are so blessed to have her teach our students and share her knowledge and expertise with our staff.
We would also like to make mention of Honey Mokomoko (year 5) and Kirra Broadhurst (year 6) for initiating a lunchtime Bible study group on Thursdays. The girls started their group last Thursday and they had 15 students attend. They were thoroughly prepared and as staff we were absolutely thrilled at the way they organized everything. Well done, we are so proud of you.
BOT elections are well underway. Prayerfully consider who you should be voting for.
Bev Coombes who is our returning officer, will make the announcement by the end of next week.
Reminder: Some of you are not receiving the newsletters from your child. Newsletters are sent out every Wednesday. Please check on Wednesdays that you are given a newsletter by your child.
We are pleased at the way our students are following the school rules. Almost 100% are correctly attired every day. ‘Thank You’ to you, our parents for supporting us with this.
School Rule No. 2 ‘I will look after my stuff, your stuff and our stuff.”
We are encouraging our students to look after their stuff as well as stuff that belongs to others and the school eg. PE gear, equipment, computers, etc.
Please encourage this at home as well.
