Greetings to you all
Congratulations to the parents who have been elected to our Board. The new Board of Trustees are:
Ken McFarlane, Alison McFarlane, Dianne Holland, Wendy Gabriel, Andrew Russell (new trustee), Ju Mokomoko, Vanessa Martin (new trustee), Murray Wellington (new trustee), Renae Lolohea, Rachel Norris (new trustee).
The new Board will be meeting this Thursday at 7pm and a new Chairman will be elected.
We would like to take this opportunity and thank James MacPherson for taking up the reins of Chairman for these past 6 years. ‘Thank You’ also go to Josh Calles and Justine Randall for the term they had served on the BOT.
A very special THANK YOU to you, our parents, for fully participating in the elections.

Room 1
Christopher Everitt for great progress and effort in Reading.
Max Law for being helpful, caring and responsible during class computer time.
Piata Tibble-Tamati for being very brave and sharing at mat time.
Sonrise Shooters Soccer Team: ‘Player of the Day’ went to Manawa Randall.
Room 2
Eden Tata who is beautifully leading the class in prayer.
!00% pass in ‘Family Facts’ (Math) goes to Noah Warman.
Sonrise Strikers Soccer Team: ‘Player of the Day’ went to Aiden Holland.
Room 3
Kartik Patel for completing all his class work and staying on task.
Trynatee Lolohea for displaying great leadership skills.
Room 4
Hayden MacPherson and Pharyn Calles for representing the school in the gifted and talented drama workshop last week. I was phoned by the presenter who let me know what an honour it was for her to work with these 2 students. They represented the school exceptionally well.

Rebekah Woodcock for high achievement in Maths and Reading.

Soccer Fundraiser
Brand new school polos for only $5.00. All proceeds will go towards the purchasing of soccer uniforms for all 3 Sonrise soccer teams. Sizes range from 5-12 years. Limited supply of polos, so make sure to get in quickly. You may purchase as many as you like, first in first served.
Orders can be placed by putting the correct amount of money or cheque into an envelope with your child’s name, size preference and a contact number. Hand it into the school administrator at reception.

THANK YOU to Renae for organizing and purchasing a soccer playing strip for our 3 teams.
All soccer players to provide their own black shorts as the school will be paying for the shirt and socks.
Just a reminder: All outstanding soccer fees needs to be paid ASAP. This is greatly appreciated as we have received a big bill from the soccer union.
